It all started with a recruitment call.
A consulting firm needed a desktop publisher for one of there proposal teams. Being just a few years out of college at the time, I didn’t know anything about consulting firms or proposals, but knew plenty about desktop publishing and design…I was a graphic design major after all. So, I decided to go for the interview and well, it all worked out.
Without even knowing it, federal proposals were made for me…the fast pace, the deadlines, and the minut details all gave me an adrenaline rush… a bit weird I know, but I loved it.
When I accepted the job, I thought I’ll do desktop publishing for a few years and eventually transition to a graphics role. Realizing I didn’t want to do info graphics which is mostly what’s used in proposals, I went a different route.
10 years later I had been a desktop publisher, a proposal coordinator, and finally a proposal manager. I had experienced all aspects of submitting a proposal to the government, including the late nights :)
But what I enjoyed most was getting to work with so many different proposal teams and leading them to successful submissions. This is why I’ve started LMC Proposal Management. To help small businesses like you submit proposals with ease.
